Hmhmhm I think most scenario events are FPO and it's generally not cheap. Staging these events cost money and entry fee's general only cover a small part so expect to pay for paint.

Just wondering, if i could bring my " home made" M-79 launcher. It cronos at around 260 and is used as a mortor. altho it looks and feels like a shot gun.
Thanks

Glad to see another heavy weapons guy :)
Check with Blackcat for chronograph limits on launchers. Most of the time you need to chrono with an approved NERF round at or around 150FPS, and the launcher must be checked and approved prior to its use by the head ref (for proper construction and safety). Generally speaking, the launcher must be equipped with a barrel blocking device, an overpressure releif valve/popit valve, and regulated if powered by constant air (12 grams require no pressure regulator). Metal air chambers are becoming an absolute MUST this year from my understanding; PVC air chambers are just too dangerous.
Let me know if there are any questions you have reguarding demolitions play. I have ran as a demo tech at 4 different scenario games with homebrew launchers, and can offer you a TON of advice :)

Yeah, I was unable to make that outing.
Hehe.... Fun times though...
I have also made 12gram landmines and sold close to 300 of them on ebay before being threatened to be sued by www.paintballcombat.net for patent infringement. I guess they couldn't handle a better design.... You can make them for 2, 3 bucks tops and they acutally work pretty good.
For scenario game approved smoke, check out www.tacticalfunhouse.com. The US coast guard stuff is wicked. 70k cubic feet pull-ring ignition, and burns for close to 4 minutes. Most homebrew stuff or stuff with a match lit fuse won't be allowed at an organized event, but you will have no problems using it at a renegade outing as long as you dont burn down the forest, hah.
I'd like to meet up sometime. We are always looking for another demo guy to run with :)

All right we need another heavy weapons guy. Glad to see that you are interested in the team. I am Chris aka Moleman. I was not at the last outing, but I am eager to meet you. I think that a rec/renegade game before the 24 hour game would be a good idea. Hope to see you out there.
