I'm going to start a BONE DRY PAINTBALL server.
I'm debating between:
- RTCW: ET (enemy territory)
- SOF2
- BF1942 (vietnam possibly)
- UT2K4
Not even sure about DOOM III cause I'm not sure what that entails yet.
But I want a game server. Good promotion, and good fun.
What games do you guys play?

hehe so OTHER than digital paintball. any others?
Hopefully they develop a nice UT2K4 paintball mod (i know they were making one for ut2k3 but i think it fell through).

How about Day of Defeat. I love that game. Always lots of people playing, and steam supported. Definatly worth a look.

hehe i was hoping for a game I've actually played
:)
I dont wanna go out and buy new games :)
Maybe CALL OF DUTY though. That game rocks.
I'm leaning toward either SOF2 or BATTLEFIELD VIETNAM.

Oh, well I heard digital paintball and assumed we were talking Steam. Anyways DOD is like Counter-strike but COD style.

SOF2 is a good game, its basicaly a counterstrike clone with less cheating, you should do this one

I'm really thinking about SOF2, but I dont know. Its slowly fading away, and with DOOM III coming out who knows.
I wonder what the DOOM III requirements are for servers.

honestly i would wait another month or so for hl2 cuz that game is going to pwn all other games this year. doom3 will only have 4 players per server for multiplayer HOW LAME IS THAT!?!?!?!
but my suggestions for the server
1-hl2
2-battlefield nam
3-ut 04
4- cod
oh and id be happy to be an admin for the server :)

UT2k4 or SOF II both are freaking crazy nut to play online, and UT is just great

speaking of HL in general.
anyone have an extra copy? lol
My advice is to wait for HL2 to come out, and make a CS:S server.

I found a host that allows you to change games whenever. So its no problem to dump the old game and install the new. They give you full remote access.
So I'm just more debating on the initial game for now. Then if things feel like changing (aka HL2) then I'll change by removing the old, and installing the new server.

Yeah. I'm going to start w/ SOF2. I can change it in the future if needed (or get another).
I'll post the info probably tomorrow or saturday night (since all saturday i'll be filming)

Should be live tomorrow night (hopefully I can configure it at my lunch tomorrow).
Its going to be a 32 person CTF/INF server. Not sure if it will be RD or ND right now, but it should be some fun. It will be running OSP 0.3k.
I'll have the IP address, and server info here, as well as there are forums being put up on the BDP site, as well as stats that will be updated every other day and a live status monitor.
Ignore the french in the forums. I haven't redone the buttons...lol

Currently... probably not. I will look into if they have any good ones though.
As for now its going to be the following:
- 32 Man server
- CTF/INF game types (mainly INF, the occasional CTF for flavor).
- Only 1 or 2 custom maps, rest includes.
- Running OSP 0.3k
- Will have ingame admins (we'll talk later)
- Will have STATS updated daily, or semi daily at the bdp site
I'll have the IP and sutff once I figure out how to configure it.

ur dumb jk
that game is lame and old
and no1 plays it
make a bf nam server
that game=m3n
oh do u need an extra cd key or a hl installation disc? cuz ill give u the hl disc at the tounrey tomorrow if u need it
DigiTard

I need the CDKey and everything. I hadn't played it in like 5 months and then I moved (twice) and now its gone. I think my old roomate has it in his CD case cause I had him put some of my install discs there to not lose em, but I dont talk to him anymore so I dont wanna drive out there and deal with his crap for a game.
SOF2 rules man. Last night at 2am when I was finishing up some stuff on the site I hopped on and there were like 25 servers still full (24 to 40player servers).
I'm going to stay SOF2 for a while, maybe vietnam in the future if i pick it up) an then HL2: CS w/ the source engine goodness.

I setup the SOF2 server. I've been floating between games trying to find one I liked.
Its the following:
IP: 67.15.18.236:20100
Server Name right now (temporary): todaysgamer.com INF
32man server. INF. OSP 0.3k
Its up and running. Get people in there to populate it...lol
