**"Tire Forest" Field**

There seems to be alot of questions about the field that the member "renegadespaintball" created. So a friend and I went to go check out this field. We saw the tires, and maybe with a little arrangement... it would be an awesome speedball field (see pics).

But what really caught our eye was the vegetation. We started looking through the overgrown paths and started visualizing an awesome renegade field. So the next day we got some more friends together (and some hedge trimmers), and started to help better this field. We developed boundaries, and created various bunkers. It still needs some work, but we will definitely be coming out here all winter long. We played for about 4 hours after getting the field in a "playable" mode.

The directions made it difficult for us to find the first time out, so hopefully this will help. The map on his website is pretty accurate: http://www.renegadespaintball.com/oasispaintball.htm

As you are going Southeast on Hunt Highway, you will see Oasis Lane, directly after this street you take a left onto a long strip of dirt road that follows the backyards of a residential area. This will take you to a group of trees, from there you keep driving in the direction you were heading past the trees. You will see a group of boulders with spray paint all over them. You will be forced to take a left, and from there you will see the tires. The renegade/forest/vegetation field, is neighboring this area (you will see the paths leading into the trees). Cars can make it almost 98% of the way to the center of the field. If you don't want it to get sketchy, park just outside the trees, and follow the road to the site (its a very short walk).

Because the user "renegadesPaintball" doesn't log on all that often, feel free to PM me with any questions regarding the area, pictures, videos, or when we will be playing. You should see us out there often trying to make this renegade field awesome.

oasis lane is located after which major intersection? i know hunt highway is the east / west but what is the north / south location? is this private land or the reservation?

okay thanks for the info , second question is are people playing every saturday? we have a small group of three sometimes five people who play every saturday and would probably make the trek out there if we knew people were playing there , this saturday is out of the question as we are going to our old stomping ground but for future reference . always like getting out and meeting new painters .

Our group consists of 5 people....we usually play every other weekend. You can count on us being out there more often, as we like it better than the proving grounds....

We might even be out there with clippers again trying to trim up the field. :)

I haven't been able to get ahold of the owner, so we just decided to go out there ourselves. So far we love it!

So true. I think we had as much fun trimming up/forming the field as we did playing in it!

I think next time we go out, we will put orange tape on the trees that border the "field" we came up with. This way it will lead to no confusion.

anytime we would go out there we will help with trimming and setting the field for serious play , i think when you combine both man made bunkers with natural terrain that the field is best , kinda like the old stomping grounds.....sniper towers are best..we will always help , bank on it

My only suggestion would be to use quality materials. I realize we have to scavenge our supplies, but let's not get to "junkyard" with the place. That basketball hoop and trampoline thing look kind of trashy.

This past sunday we tried making it look "less trashy". I will post pics soon.

What we really want to do is take out about 50% of the trees within the "forest", and move the tires to that field. If we could do that, it would be sooo excellent.

Pallets would be excellent. If you need any additional transportation or pallets, I have a truck and trailer to grab more. We have been looking for some for quite a while but never wanted to "steal" any. You do not need a truck to get to the field.

I think I know what road you are talking about. That one has a large hump correct? The correct turnoff is past this (south). Read the directions on the first post of this thread, it should give you a good idea. If you need additional help, let me know.

Yes, the road with the large hump. Went out this afternoon found the feild. I will bring the pallets out this Friday. Only going to be a couple of us, most of the guys cant get out this week. should be at the field around 9ish. will do some set up, going to play a few games.

That sucks. I just checked it out this morning and there's still a semi trailer from the steel guy next door blocking the main entrance. Looks like some of the bunker material is now owned by the locals too. RIP PG.

This field is now officially closed. There is now a full fence around the perimeter with a no-trespassing sign attached. There is now livestock within the fenced area, and yes, they will charge at you lol.
