Ty,
We would like to help.I will bring a crew of probably 4 but only for a few hours. A member of my crew could use the Community service hours for school and this would be a perfect and most enjoyable way to go if you don't mind.
Were the group with the Angel, Karni, Ion, Imp and a Chrono.
Is this Patrick, or Luke, or ? hehe.
Anyways, thanks so much man, just a couple hours is all we need honestly, once we get everything torn down, everyone can leave, because our other leader Jason, does landscaping, and he is bringing in his heavy duty equip to clean up the field. That shouldn't take long, but then we have to measure up the field, and install all the netting.
So, thanks again, hopefully we can get more people to come out, the more, the faster it gets done.
And who knows, if we get it done early, we might want to playtest the new fields, hehe.

You know that 'BattleZone' was the name of local indoor field that closed about 2 years ago?

I just started working for the church in January, and it has been named that since. As far as I can see why it was named this was because our student ministry is title "The Zone Student Ministry" and a lot of our children's ministries are titled after zones... Kidz Zone, Zone 912, Zone78, etc, etc.
But thanks for letting me know, hope it didn't come off as a rip off or anything...

Yes, we just recently renewed our insurance, which is about $1800 a year. It's a big chunk of change, but we believe it's necessary and worth it.

Just to let you know, we have been open actually for a long time in fact, it's just now, we are remodeling our field this weekend and re-opening it with a Grand Opening day with a give away of $1,000,000 dollars!

is the "speedball" field grass?
Kittens, right now it won't be, the purpose of our landscaping this weekend will be to get rid of all the desert brush, and just flatten the whole land, eventually, when we have the funds too, we will be installing some sort of turf, or 'fake' grass, plus real grass is really difficult to maintain in AZ, and we'll need a watering system.
Because whatever money we make, it goes straight back into our field or into the community.
And to be honest, our real vision is to be able to buy an official Sup'Airball NPPL Super 7 field (41 pieces), which we have the most perfect place to put to. We were about to buy one for $6500, and we were planning to rent it out to any teams that would like to practice on it, but also so any teams could practice on it for upcoming events, and we would make the field according to the upcoming events design. But right now, we decided to start off a little more conservative, but in the future, we will be investing a lot into it's growth.

It will be a 5-Man 19pc field. The dimensions of the field will be 75' x 150' Which is the standard 5-Man size.

We have never rented our field out, but because we are non-profit, it will probably be a low price, it will be open Sunday-Friday for rent. I will have more info on this later. If you are interested, you can contact me on our field thread in the Rec-Ball Talk section.

Yeah, we have no part in The Front's cost, our field cost will be a flat $10 for all day, and if you need more air, The Front will be selling it, but other people bring out their own scuba tanks, and usually they are willing to fill you up for free. I know The Front provides mostly all the CO2, because usually people with scuba tanks are shooting N2 or CA.

So, we had a meeting with The Front yesterday, and they are going to partner up with us on our field. So eventually, what we are thinking, when you buy anything from them, you automatically get a $5 all day field pass (Instead of $10). The sweet thing is, is that's its not just a one time deal, you buy something from The Front every week, every week you get a $5 all day field pass. So, that's just a head's up when we get our field going. Thanks!

hey ill try and be there for the opening of the new speedball field. might bring a friend. i would have liked to help with moving the field and all but i just found out about it today and your done already :(. I think you are doing a good thing bringing a field out here. i have some concerns tho. i heard that were some restrictions on playing like no shooting someone from less than 10 feet away. is that true? if it is how can you bunker someone? im sorry if this was already posted but i didnt want to read 6 pages after i just read 6 in your other topic. please get back to me. thanks...

Hey dude, thanks for reminding me about the 10 feet rule. Before, that only applied to our rec-ball field. But on our speedball field, it's impossible to NOT bunker someone, so it will be allowed. There will be a separate Rules page for speedballers.
We will have more info about our tourney probably the week after the 26th.

I guess his team has their own 7-man field, and for letting them play on our land, they're willing to ref and let our players use their field. They may even start having practices at our field. Which would be awesome, because that's what we're all about, helping & serving. So maybe they can 1337 up their skills and rack up wins for AZ paintball.

BAD, WELL NOT BAD, BUT SAD NEWS!!!
I just found out today that whoever was supposed to send the payment of our field, didn't send the payment for our field until today. *CRYING*
So, to make a long story short, it was supposed to be sent as a cashier's check, rather than a payroll check, so the guy can cash it right away, rather than waiting for it to clear. It was supposed to be sent last week, etc etc.
So, on behalf of all our promises, hype, excitement, and our church, I appologize if this will affect any of your plans. Our delivery for the field is next week now, so on the 2nd of September is when we will have our field set up and everything.
Anyways, if you guys can still make it out, that would be awesome, at least we have a sweet rec-ball field now, heh.

We are entering D1 NPPL for the LA event. I tried to get a semi pro slot but got shut down as none were available.
Whether we are that skill or not, that will have to be seen. It will be our first NPPL event. I just decided to jump in head first with the big boys.
Our team name is Pbwarehouse Squardron now, but most of the team was recently on Absurd Addiction.
We are at the moment nobodies, but with some practice and hard work, we hope to make a name for ourselves. But just to be clear, we are not there yet. Just entered the LA NPPL event in that division, we have yet to play it though.
Thanks for the love, we hope to be able to help the church feild in the future.

at the renegade field accross the street from the Trenches at Elseworth. There were 7 guys against their 4. We got taken out in maybe 2 min. I lasted 20 seconds from my 1st bunker to a Dorito.
That was also when we were about 2 months into the sport.
I think we can give them a better game at the church field.
I just can't remember the name of that guy from this team who gave us a few tips.

Yeah guys, just to clarify the cost/fee. We've decided to kind of make it cheaper than normal because we know we don't have the BEST field, but we are trying, and we appreciate all of you guys who are willing to check it out. And all the money you guys pay for the field cost goes right back into making our field better. Anyways...
$8 All day field cost, yes, that means ALL day 8am-however long you want to play, if even past noon.
$8 Air pass for 8am-Noon, I think we are only doing 1 air session this weekend, but depending on how many people still want to play, it will be $8 for Noon-4pm then.
Total=$16
Just to give heads up on how you will pay. $8 goes to me for the field cost, $8 goes to The Front for air. We will have change to break, but don't bring 50's or 100's, I won't be able to break those.
Also, they will be selling paint too. Thanks, hope to see you out there!

Thanks dude, and yeah, I will be needing my little helpers, but I should be totally organized after this weekend, because I want to make a list of everyone who is willing to help maybe once a weekend.
So if you guys didn't already notice by now, I am the coach for Gilbert Shock now. I was talking with Collin the Captain yesterday, and he asked me to be the coach, and since coaching is my favorite aspect of paintball, I took it with honor. We have actually been here forever, we just haven't promoted it at all, but since we have both a speedball field, and a rec field, I came on this website just to inform and answer questions for people. So yes, this ministry is forever, and it's going to grow. If you want to know the cost and everything, go to the very first page of this thread, and all the info is there. We also do have rental stuff that The Front Paintball Shop rents out, it's $7 for a full package include Marker, Mask, Hopper, CO2, and with a free refill of CO2. So basically all you guys would have to bring is the $8 for the field cost, $7 for the rental, and you can bring your own paint, or even buy that from The Front who sells it there.

Yeah, actually, just be there by 7:30 so I can have you fill out all the waivers and rules and stuff. It's also better to come early so you can get a head start on paying and get ready by 8am. Thanks!
